Potholes

Barkby & Barkby Thorpe Parish Council have actively been reporting potholes on a regular basis in and around the villages.

You will see yellow markings as these are planned in for repair

Blocked Drains

The Parish Council have reported severely blocked drains along Beeby Road and Main Street, Barkby.

We recognise the problem we have when it rains and we are trying our best to resolve and get the drains cleared quickly and successfully.

Development Traffic

Letters have been written and sent to the developers of both the Queniborough and Hamilton housing estates requesting that their contractors do not use Barkby & Barkby Thorpe village roads to access the sites.

The developers have acknowledged our letters and we hope that they respect our requests.

Fly Tipping

The fly tipping along Barkby Thorpe Lane in the field on the right hand side as you drive towards Asda has been reported and acknowledged, and so we are waiting for the rubbish to be cleared.

Village Benches

The Parish Council have just repaired 3 benches in Barkby & Barkby Thorpe.

1 x Holt Lane, 1 x Barkby Thorpe and 1 x Jitty at the back of the Malt Shovel

There is one more bench which is to be repaired/replaced along Holt Lane.
